What’s your average electricity bill?

Hey guys

I’m new to Chiang Mai here and we just moved in about 2-3 months or so. We’re living in a small house in a gate community (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) and our electricity bill for the first month was around 6.8k baht. It’s true that we blasted AC almost all day but I had no idea electricity would be this expensive; maybe it is compared to Bangkok. The most recent bill cost around 3.8k baht (last month). I’m just confused as to why it costs this much.

What do you think? Is this a normal cost for electricity over here?

P.S – our landlord installed this really big water tank/generator that uses electricity to put water into the tank. We normally don’t get water if the electricity is out too so maybe that’s the reason why? Or maybe I’m just tripping.
