What is a common gift out of gratitude in Thailand?

Hello,

I am a student who is here in Thailand for an internship.
Due to an injury I had to go to the doctor here and a lady from the internship accompanied me there and waited with me for 2 1/2 hours and translated everything for me.

I would very much like to give her a small gift out of gratitude, but I don't know what is common here.

At home we often give Merci chocolate or pralines. Is there an equivalent here?
