What happens legally I fight a foreigner in the streets?

I want to know what police will do if I fight another foreigner in the streets. Additional questions:

Does it make a difference if he was the aggressor?

What happens if the other guy goes to hospital?

What happens if the other guy dies?

Will there be a trial in severe cases? (It’s about a street fight not something premeditated.)

Since this is Reddit, I beg you to not just post your common sense but refer to actual cases. And yes, I’m quite aware that it’s a big difference if you fight a Thai on the streets, so no need to go rambling about that.

My question because before I was riding scooter and a guy was starting trouble and very aggressive even though he was in the wrong. I almost started a fight but backed down because I’m cautious regarding the Thai justice system. However, he wasn’t someone of great stature and should have gotten his lesson.
