The cold weather in Mongolia is not a problem for Thai players, assistant coach Choketawee Promrut said yesterday.
The Thai U23 side are preparing to play in the AFC U23 Championship qualifying round in Ulaanbaatar next week.
They arrived in Mongolia on Monday and began training yesterday.
“Initially, we expected to face freezing conditions but it is not as cold as we thought,” Choketawee said.
They had a light training session and learned tactics of coach Worrawoot Srimaka yesterday.
“I think it won’t take long before they understand Worrawoot’s tactics,” Choketawee said.
Thailand are in Group J with Mongolia, Laos and Malaysia.
The Thais take on the hosts on Oct 25, Laos on Oct 28 and Malaysia on Oct 31.
