Weather July/August

Hi,

Maybe a basic question…

Spent last Jul/Aug in Koh Samui and Bangkok and the weather, particularly in Koh Samui, was almost unbearable some days, even thought it was only around 29/30 degrees. My bald head couldn’t handle it, if I wore a hat o was sweating too much. I was constantly exhausted, the humidity whilst blissful when in the pools, was a real dampener because it meant most excursions we wanted to do got put to one side because of the heat and the temples were often closed in the evenings.

I’ve been working out to get in better shape and this time we are going to Chiang Mai but I see the temperature is similar to Samui. I hear the humidity makes a big difference. Would like to hear thoughts from those that know.

I’m from England… we have had some really hot summers of late, into the 30’s but it’s completely bearable because it’s what I’m used to and no humidity.

Any Brit’s with any experience?

My daughter also wants to know if she will get a suntan when in Chiang Mai 😀

Thanks in advance for any comments.
