The annual Shorties International Film Festival is back with their third edition this November, and it’s gonna be a big ‘un. For the uninitiated, it’s a move by the Hive Worldwide to support emerging filmmakers from around the region. From November 10th to November 14th, film buffs can catch one of 38 shortlisted films, hand-picked by a panel of industry experts including Alison Thomas from Scene852 in Hong Kong, award-winning writer, director and producer Othello Khanh from Vietnam and Thailand’s own Oliver Wolfson from Channel Sixty.
Open calls for short films were held from February to March, with over 220 submissions showcasing unique stories from across Asia Pacific.
