Come ‘Haawm’ to home-cooked Thai dishes with twists in On Nut 

It’s all about Thai home cooking at a new, private On Nut dining spot. 

Opened recently on Soi On Nut 25, Haawm (a play on hom, or “smells good” and “home”), offers a seven-course dinner of family-style Thai dishes with inventive twists. Some of the highlights include kaeng pa ( jungle curry with sun-dried pork, grilled baby corn and basil), panang curry with pork shoulder and burnt shallots and rose apple salad with squid, pork belly, toasted coconut and shrimp floss.

In the Haawm kitchen is Dylan Eitharong, a self-taught Thai-American chef who started his career slinging noodles in the United States before working with Thai food scholar Hanuman Aspler. He is offering quintessential Thai home-cooked meals with southern American touches like smoking, grilling and rubbing in homemade spices.
