Wasps aim to shatter Buriram’s dream

When Buriram United take on former champions PT Prachuap in the Thai League Cup final on Sunday, the Thunder Castle won’t be only looking to complete a sweep of all three domestic football titles.

Buriram United director Samaporn Polbutr confirmed to the media at a news conference on the eve of the clash that his men are eager to avenge their loss to the Killer Wasps in the 2019 final of the tournament as well.

The event for the 2020 season, which dragged on longer than expected and ended last year due to a coronavirus pandemic, was cancelled.
