NARATHIWAT: A defence volunteer was killed by a gunman in Bacho district late on Wednesday night, police said.
The attack occurred about 11.30pm, when Muhamad Sabri arrived back at his house in Moo 9 in tambon Bacho on a motorcycle.
A hidden gunman opened fire at Muhamad, hitting him in the head, left chest and left arm. He died on the spot.
The attacker fled, leaving nine spent cartridges of 5.56mm ammunition at the scene.
Police were investigating.
