Julius Baer, a renowned Swiss private bank, presents a virtual exhibition featuring winning artworks from the second edition of the “Julius Baer Next Generation Art Prize”, from now until Aug 21.
The art competition accepted concept proposals in a specialised digital medium — from graphic images to videos, generative art, augmented or virtual reality, and interactive art — from young artists from China, India and Southeast Asia late last year.
Six winners were picked in March this year and were required to develop their winning art concept to fruition in a three-month art and tech accelerator programme. The newly completed digital artworks by the prize winners are featured within an immersive “meta-world” that represents a futuristic floating city in Asia.
