Bangkok’s fine-dining scene is roaring back from pandemic doom, and more big names are flocking to Thailand to debut.
The latest arrival is Sweden’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant Villa Frantzen, which will open June 4 inside a 400sqm villa in Soi Yen Akat 3.
The location will feature an open kitchen and enough space to accommodate 60 people, not to mention an outdoor patio, and a Nordic-style bar. Swedish owner and chef Bjorn Frantzen yesterday teased a sneak peek inside his first establishment in Thailand.
Villa Frantzen will follow a modern Nordic theme, just like the original Frantzén in Stockholm, but with few more Asian touches. Reservations start at 10am this Friday.
