Vietnam’s House speaker to visit Thailand

Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will pay a four-day to Thailand next week, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His counterpart, Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, will host Dinh Hue at the National Assembly on December 7-10. During his stay in Bangkok, the two sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to further enhance the cooperation between their legislative branches.

The two law-making bodies are seeking to strengthen exchanges of high-level visits as well as between their specialised committees. The Thai house speaker met Hue in Jakarta on August 7, when they both attended the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

According to a parliament source, Dinh Hue will have an audience with HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn. He will also pay a courtesy call to Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.
