Venice set to stage Muay Thai Festival

A Muay Thai event will be held in Italy in June to promote the sport, organisers said.

The WBC Amazing Muay Thai World Festival will take place from June 22-25 in Venice.

The festival was unveiled during a press conference attended by WBC MuayThai president Thanapol Bhakdibhumi, Italian ambassador to Thailand Paolo Dionisi and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) deputy governor Siripakorn Cheawsamoot in Bangkok last week.

The event, which will take place amidst the stunning backdrop of Venice, is a collaboration between Venice, the TAT and the WBC MuayThai.

Also present at the press conference were six young aspiring Muay Thai fighters from Thailand who have been selected to represent the WBC MuayThai Thailand at the festival, where they will have the opportunity of a lifetime to make memories out of the ring, make…
