Use of English language in a Thai series

I recently watched the Thai BL series, ‘Bad Buddy’. I observed that the actors very rarely spoke English which is very different from my country, India. In India translanguaging native (Hindi, in my case) and English is very common and you will find many references to such in Bollywood (Hindi cinema)/TV serials.

So I am just curious from the cultural point of view.

1) Do Thai people speak English in their daily lives or do translanguaging? (Mainly urban youth)

2) I observed that almost all posters were in English, even though none of them used English that much (just a few words here and there), and even written notes were in Thai. I found this bit out of place. Is it common to have English language posters?
