A walk along Bangkok’s streets (prominent and obscure alike) will reveal a plethora of makeshift stores and retail outlets that sell marijuana (aka weed) in varied forms – you can smoke it up, use its oil or get your hands on one of hash cookies that are incredibly popular with first timers. All this has happened since a 2022 decree decriminalised the production and sale of marijuana products for recreational purposes in the country.
