Pattaya officials and police apprehended two firework sellers near the beach area early this morning, February 5th.
The two suspects’ identities were withheld pending an investigation.
They were arrested with various types of firecrackers. The suspects claimed that they needed the money to support their families. Hearing so, the authorities advised them to find a different job, saying fireworks caused a lot of problems to residents and tourists.
The two suspects were released after completing legal proceedings.
The Pattaya Mayor, Poramese Ngampiches, also released a statement urging tourists and residents not to buy fireworks or sky lanterns as they could disturb residents and cause fires. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-===-=-=-=–=–=–=–==-
