Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha thanked the nation’s food and beverage industry after two Thai restaurants were included among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list this year.
This year’s list, compiled by UK-based William Reed Business Media, included two restaurants in Bangkok: Le Du (No 15), owned by rising star chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, and Gaggan Anand (No 17), run by Kolkata-born chef Gaggan Anand. Central Restaurant, in Peru’s capital Lima, was named World’s Best Restaurant.
