🚕 Just landed in Bangkok a few days ago, and man, getting taxis with meters here was a real struggle! Some drivers straight up didn’t want to take me where I wanted to go! But guess what? I came up with an awesome trick that totally works! 💡
So, here’s the deal: I ended up hopping into over 100 taxis, a bit nuts, I know, but it paid off big time! Whenever a driver asked me about my destination, I quickly opened the first door and snapped a photo of their office ID info next to driver door . Then, I opened the second door and took a shot of the car’s license plate as well from the door to make sure I had the right driver 3 photos total.
And you know what? The results were incredible! 😎 The drivers got super nervous when they saw me taking pictures. They immediately turned on their meters when seat in the taxi, and always open my GPS and tell him where to go without any fuss or argument. No more “no meter” excuses or refusal to go where I wanted! It’s like magic, and I haven’t faced any meter issues since. I think they believe I can report them or something, so they’re playing it safe.
