Traveling between Bangkok & Pattaya

I’ve booked a hotel to stay in BKK for a few weeks. However, seeing a lot of the action (I’m a sleazeball) seems to be in PTY as well, I’m wondering whether it’s affordable to take taxis between the two cities every night. How much is a taxi from BKK to PTY, or vice versa? And how much is Grab, on average? I plan to take these trips at odd times like between 3am and 6am. Is that feasible? How much could I be charged for this? The thing is I’ve booked a rather expensive hotel in BKK, so not really planning to spend the night in PTY. Just wanna be in PTY to have fun, then drive back to BKK, if that’s feasible. I know there are buses but spending over 2 hours one way just sitting in a bus sounds horrible to me.
