Women’s doubles top seeds Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai comfortably beat their Thai compatriots Laksika Kanlaha and Phataimas Muenwong 21-10, 21-10 in the opening round of the Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters yesterday.
The veteran duo needed just 29 minutes to advance to the second (last 16) round of the US$210,000 Super 300 tournament at Bangkok’s Nimibutr Stadium.
Jongkolphan and Rawinda will next meet Baek Ha-Na and Lee So-Hee of South Korea, who defeated Taiwan’s Hu Ling-fang and Lin Xiao-min 21-16, 21-14.
