Thonglor’s pasta bistro ‘La Dotta’ expands to Silom

La Dotta Silom, which briefly opened in mid-April, is open again where the Italian cocktail bar 1919 once stood.

The new digs resemble its sister branch in Thonglor with aquamarine walls, counter seating, and loads of fresh pasta on display.

Head chef and partner Francesco Deiana brings a touch of Italy in dishes like the deep-fried truffle, sage, and ricotta balls with aged Parmigiano Reggiano fondue (THB290); tagliatelle bolognese (THB590), featuring a 24-hour slow-cooked wagyu shoulder with Parmigiano Reggiano; and fresh duck egg tagliolini (THB390) cooked in a Parmigiano Reggiano and artisanal butter sauce, then served with seasonal truffle flown directly from Italy.

In addition to their regular menu, Deiana will be launching special pasta dishes monthly, focusing on lesser-known pasta shapes.
