Thais taking cold weather in their stride

Thailand U23 team trained at the AFC U23 Championship qualifying competition venue for the first time on Thursday as they continued their efforts to acclimatise themselves with the cold weather in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar.

Mercury dipped to 2C when the Thai team started Thursday’s training stint which lasted for more than one hour and 30 minutes.

Pipob On-mo, one of the staff coaches, said before training that the Thai U23 players were coping well with the weather in Ulaanbaatar.

“It is our third day here and the weather is not as bad as we expected it to be,” said Pipob.

“We are adjusting to the cold weather and the synthetic pitch here.”
