As Russia pours more troops into Ukraine in its frustrated bid to seize the capital, Thais are finding ways to send their support – including at least two men on the way to fight the Russian invaders themselves.
Donations are being accepted via an official account announced this morning by the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand. The Bangkok Bank account can be used by any supporters with Thai bank accounts to send funds. Many people responded by posting receipts of their transfers in response.
In recent days, supporters of Ukrainian independence – including Thai, Ukrainian and Russian nationals opposed to the war – have gathered in solidarity.
