BANGKOK, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) — Thailand’s iconic scenic spots, such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in Bangkok, always offer a wealth of attractions for travellers from around the world.

Recently, the Thai government’s visa exemption programme was timely enough to cover China’s Golden Week holidays and contributed to a boon of Chinese tourists to the Southeast Asian country.

From Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, the first week after Thailand implemented the visa-free policy for Chinese tourists, the number of Chinese tourists entered Thailand exceeded 100,000, according to official data.
