Thailand sources 56,000 roles to help the unemployed

In February, 114,101 newly unemployed workers registered for financial aid, while 487,143 people updated their unemployment status.

Thailand’s Department of Employment has sourced some 56,138 full-time job vacancies, and 1,255 part-time vacancies from the private sector to help its citizens who are unemployed during the pandemic, department director-general Suchat Pornchaiwiseskul told a press briefing on Friday, according to Bangkok Post.

The most recruited full-time roles are production industrial workers, couriers, customer service workers, sales agents, shop assistants, warehouse keepers and assembly workers.

On the other hand, the most popular part-time jobs include customer service agents, shop assistants, couriers and cook assistants.
