Thailand reduces mandatory Covid-19 quarantine to 10 days

BANGKOK, March 20 (Bernama): Thailand will reduce its mandatory quarantine for travellers from two weeks to 10 days starting April 1, and may even stop imposing compulsory quarantine for travellers from low-risk countries starting Oct 1.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan o-cha, who chaired the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) meeting today, approved the relaxation measures.

Spokesman for CCSA, Thaweesilp Wissanuyothin, said Thailand would further shorten quarantine for vaccinated travellers to seven days once the nation is ready. However, he did not provide the timeline.

For vaccinated travellers, he said they have to get a shot within three months of travel and present a certificate as proof.
