Thailand Post to have EV fleet within 5 years

Targets zero gas emissions by 2050

Mr Dhanant anticipates that energy costs will be reduced by at least 30% from fully switching over to electric vehicles.

Thailand Post aims to replace its existing postal vehicles with electric vehicles (EVs) within five years as part of its sustainable growth strategy.

The company also wants to cut its greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050.

Chief executive Dhanant Subhadrabandhu said Thailand Post had started the switch to EVs over the past few years, beginning in Bangkok, Phuket and Chon Buri.

The company plans to switch to 250 EV vans operating on major delivery routes by the end of 2023.
