Thai-Chinese

Hi everyone!
I’m researching about the history Thailand & its people that make it up & wanted to know some things.
1) Allegedly, only 10%-40%(?) of Thai-Chinese make up Thailand. Are they seen as a minority or have some type advantage within society?
[I’ve seen people argue that the history of Thai people is very complicated & not enough research about their origins is confirmed besides “suspicions” being from southern China]
2) Do Thai-Chinese people have a specific “look” that makes them distinguishable amongst “pure Thais” or others mixed Thai people?
3) Is it true that they don’t feel a connection (weak or complete nonexistent bond) to their Chinese side? ei: language, traditions/holidays, etc? Is it like getting whitewashed, but Thaiwashed…(???) Do you feel disappointed for not having a connection with it?

[edit: forgot an additional question]

4) Since it has been some time, do Thai people have positive feelings towards Laos & Cambodia & their people? Or do they still carry a grudge since the war & other stuff? [this one was mainly for me since I’m Thai/Lao/Khmer & would love not to get my shit rocked if I were to ever visit & be “detected” 😀]

5) Is there a lot of Thai-Laos & Thai-Khmers there? I heard that the amount of them is almost just as much as there is Thai-Chinese. Are they negatively viewed, too or not as much since they’re assimilated?
