Tell me what I will/won’t like as an expat

Next year about spring time I’m planning to move to Thailand through the elite visa program. I’ll be arriving with about $35,000 in my savings account and a passive monthly income of $3,000 without working. I’m a young single guy that’s decent looking and my plan is to find a condo in Pattaya for about $500-700 a month and really just attend online school and play video games with my free time, occasionally head out for drinks and to have a “good time”. Don’t be mistaken of course I’ll do a lot of tourism and explore and find things I enjoy in my area and in other parts of Thailand but I am mostly a stay at home kind of person.

My ex who is from Thailand tells me all the time I could never leave my condo and still be 100% happy and get everything I want and need delivered to me. Everything she claims, from groceries to fast food to supplies to computer parts to furniture, everything can be delivered apparently. She even said hiring a house keeper to clean 2-3 times a week would be insanely cheap.

I’ve read a lot about the air pollution and the police but I’m mostly a stay at home kinda guy so naturally I don’t seem too concerned about that.

I do have health issues such as meds for my blood pressure and meds for my mental health issues but I’m covered globally with my health insurance I’ll have, specifically through bangkok from what I’ve heard. So with all my free time, I’m not too concerned with taking trips to bangkok for prescription refills and check ups.

I’ve been doing a lot of research through YouTube and reddit of how much my monthly expenses will be. With how much money I’ll be making every month and not even working, I’m just so surprised how good it seems to be. Almost a majority of my passive income monthly will be leftover and just be put into my savings account. It just seems to good to be true. So tell me, what am I missing?

I’m just trying to figure out why it all seems too good to be true? Tell me what I won’t like and what I will like? What will I be surprised by? I’ve lived abroad before and I’m very respectful of other cultures/languages and I have an open mind.
