Telehouse expands in Southeast Asia with data centre in Thailand

  • Data centre set to open during 2nd quarter of 2023
  • Third location in Southeast Asia after Singapore & Vietnam

Telehouse has announced plans to open Bangkok’s first purpose-built data centre focused on connectivity as it continues to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market.

In a statement, the colocation provider said together with parent company KDDI, a Global Fortune 300 telecommunications and systems integration provider located in Japan, it expects to open the 9,000 sqm technologically advanced facility with power capacity of 9.5MVA, during the second quarter of 2023. 

Known as Telehouse Bangkok, it will be the company’s third location in Southeast Asia, joining Singapore and Vietnam, and will be among more than 45 Telehouse data centres worldwide, the company said.
