Taiwanese singer-actress, Maxine Chi recently became a new mother following the birth of her first daughter.

Chi and her husband flew to Canada a month in advance to prepare for the birth. The Taiwanese singer-actress posted the first picture after the birth, which showed her holding her newborn daughter against her chest, without a shirt on, which sparked some controversy online.

This intimate post-birth picture stimulated online drama among Taiwanese netizens as some comments criticised the Taiwanese singer-actress for showcasing her bare skin while posting a picture of her newborn. They questioned why she had to be naked while giving birth.
