Hello everyone, I’m on the tail end of my trip and some friends have invited me to stay with them in Mai Khao, at a Marriott beach club. Ive usually stayed in hostels and whatnot, this place is way above my pay grade. From what I can tell about the area, it’s pretty mellow and mostly other resorts. I’m expecting to just lay around on the beach/pool and eat good food. There seems to be a few bars and stuff walking distance if I want to leave the resort, any suggestions? Is it worth renting a car or scooter to explore further? By the time I get there I’ll have been to samui, chiang Mai, pai, and Bangkok. So I’m not against just laying low.
