People who fail to properly self-isolate after close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case may face compulsory state quarantine.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration was discussing the possibility, CCSA assistant spokeswoman Apisamai Srirangson said on Friday.
It would also apply to people exposed to coughing or sneezing by a Covid-19 case, had talked with an infected person for more than five minutes or stayed in a closed place with them for longer than 15 minutes without wearing a face mask, Dr Apisamai said.
These people would be required to go to a state quarantine facility, she said.
