Momentum back for Bagnaia in Thai GP

Moto2 rider Somkiat Chantra aims to claim the title at the Thailand Grand Prix in Buri Ram this weekend.

The Idemitsu Honda Team Asia rider won his second Moto2 crown at the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this month.

“I’d like to get a podium finish in my home race,” said the 24-year-old Thai star.

“If possible, I’d like to win the event.”

Somkiat, who secured his maiden Moto2 title in Indonesia last year, is currently fifth in the world championship standings.

“For next year, I want to finish in the top three or win the Moto2 championship,” said Somkiat.
