Soft power “fashion panel” resigns en masse

All 24 members of the “soft power on fashion” subcommittee have resigned en masse, effective on February 1st, claiming that they have already completed their assignment, which was to collect information, set policies and plans as well as guidelines for the development of the fashion and textile industries as part of Thailand’s soft power development strategy.

Speaking on behalf of the panel, Kamonnart Ongwandee, the chair, said that all the members had considered and agreed that the next stage of the work is beyond their ability to commit enough time. All the members have their own businesses to attend to and, with regret, they agreed that they would have to cease their roles on the panel.

Meanwhile, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Pheu Thai party leader and vice chair of the National Soft Power Strategy Committee, thanked the subcommittee, in her “X” post, for their contribution…
