KANCHANABURI: Six men were arrested and charged with illegal logging after they were found to have harvested submerged tree trunks from the Srinakarin Dam reservoir in Si Sawat district.
A report to the Protected Areas Regional Office 3 said officials from Srinakarin Dam National Park were patrolling the reservoir on Wednesday, reminding visitors on tourist rafts to follow Covid protection guidelines.
They came upon a large ferry boat with a load of logging equipment and six men on board. The men also had six sets of diving gear.
