Single 30M – Where to live for a month in Bangkok?

Hey everyone – never been to Bangkok, never been to Thailand. I like big cities and being in the hustle and bustle, looks like Bangkok could be a great home base for a month as a Digital Nomad. I’ve done a good amount of research already on where to stay but wanted to get some opinions.

A bit about me:

* I am very well traveled but this is my first time going alone to Asia for an extended period of time. Ideally I’d like to stay somewhere with a bit of an expat & digital nomad presence – not against something more authentic, but this might make it more comfortable for me to ease in.
* Definitely a nightlife person, though I typically like things on the nicer end. For example I like finding the coolest cocktails bars in the city I’m in – think The Village in NYC, or Le Marais in Paris.
* Walkability is important to me. I’d love to be able to pop into a nice cafe easily and knock out some work.
* A park or waterfront access would be nice-to-have but not an absolute must if there’s a more suitable neighborhood without those perks.
* I don’t think budget is too much of a concern from what I’ve seen so far.

Neighborhoods I’ve read about and am looking at (feel free to suggest others):

* Thonglor. I’m confused about this one because on one hand it sounds nice but I’ve read some really mixed things here – what’s the story with the cops stopping people all the time? I’ve also heard mixed things about the walkability? I’ve heard that it’s also kind of a certain “scene”?
* Ekkamai. Don’t know a lot about this one other than it runs parallel to Thonglor and is maybe slightly less bougie? Would love to be filled in a bit more.
* Phrom Phong. I like quite a few things about this one but still wrapping my head around it. Is it very walkable? Is it true there’s not really a big difference between North and South Sukhumvit here? I REALLY like Japanese food & culture so that’s a big plus, as I understand this part is wedged somewhere between Phrom Phong and Thonglor? Benchasiri park looks convenient which is nice.
* Silom. I read this is quite a bit more walkable than Thonglor and that Lumphini Park is great, but is this a good area for someone here for a month? I know unlike the others this is not on the Sukhumvit BTS – is that of any concern or is the Silom line also solid?
* Ari. Similar question to above, I really like some things about Ari but read some comments that maybe this isn’t the best for a first visit ever to Bangkok?

Thanks friends :)
