I’m spending a few days in Patong before going to Bangkok in mid January. What I’m trying to determine based on other people’s experiences is whether to fly out at 9:55 PM at night or the following morning at 10:15 AM. I’m already aware the airport is a bit far from Patong and I might want to avoid traffic (if any) in the morning BUT I also don’t know if it is smart to arrive in Bangkok so late at night. My hotel does not offer a shuttle so I’m on my own for transportation, which I have no clue how crazy it can be. As for prices, both fares are the same amount so cost isn’t really a factor here to me.
