Sakoltee resigns as Bangkok deputy governor, to run for governor

Sakoltee Phattiyakul has resigned as Bangkok deputy governor to run for the governorship as an independent in the city elections tentatively set for late May.

He submitted his resignation letter on Monday. It took effect immediately.

Mr Sokoltee posted on his Facebook page on Monday morning, explaining his move.
