Running a business in Thailand

For those who have businesses in Thailand that they fund and own themselves but have minority ownership because of requirements to have majority Thai ownership in most cases, how do the business owners ensure there won’t be problems later?

Couldn’t you be kicked out of your own business? What about profit sharing? Even if there is a verbal agreement that the person doing the majority or all of the work (the foriegner) will get all the profit, what if the majority shareholder(s) have a change in mind?

Would like to hear people’s stories as well as things they’ve heard from friends.
