To mark World Environment Day, Asics has transformed around five tonnes of textile waste, equivalent to 25,000 T-shirts, into a cross-category line of the eco-friendly Earth Day Pack that includes its running court, sport-style sneakers.
Including the Gel-Nimbus 23, Glideride 2, GT 1000 10, Gel-Resolution 8, Tarther Blast, Gel Lyte III OG and Skycourt models, their sock linings are developed using a resource-saving technology that reduces CO2 emissions by around 45% and cuts water use by around 33% compared to conventional dyeing processes.
