Road returns chef to Bangkok’s 80/20 with delicious things he picked up along the way

Charoen Krung’s one-Michelin-starred 80/20 is gearing up to unveil a new menu by its new chef. And he’s someone fans of the restaurant will probably remember.

Canadian chef Andrew Martin, who’s no stranger to Bangkok’s culinary scene or 80/20, is back at the helm after the recent exit of Napol “Joe” Nantraget and Saki Hoshino, who have opened a new spot called Samlor.

Martin was chef de cuisine at 80/20 from 2016 to 2018 and won the Top Tables’ Best Young Chef Award in 2017. He’s also worked at Bo.lan, Issaya Siamese Club and Jaew Jim Thompson. Now he’s returned to his old stomping grounds to showcase a culinary creativity which leans heavily on his travels.
