Recommendations for Chiangmai for a Nov trip please!

We have been reading up about Chiangmai and it seems like a beautiful, chill city with great food. And many people mentioned the temples. However; we are not sure if it’s still worth the trip if we are not interested in temples.. any thoughts? Any recommendations for cute areas/shops/cafes and restaurant are very welcomed and appreciated too!
