Rebel LIV Golf Series needs to rethink its PR strategy

Many opinions have been and will continue to be aired on those wishing to play on the LIV Golf series which offers mind boggling prize money and signing-up amounts.

I wrote previously that this issue would cause many a 19th hole argument.

There will be heated conversations for and against those accepting millions and perhaps LIV’s PR team should review the spectacle of extremely wealthy players saying rather pompously, with arms folded, that it’s for the good of the game.

Consistently repeating “we’re not politicians” when faced with an uncomfortable question doesn’t go down well either.

Allow me to be brutally honest, an offer of a massive pay rise and a shorter working week would be very difficult for many of us to decline.

We should perhaps all reflect on what we would do if suddenly a few more noughts were added to our bank accounts.
