Quirky goal celebrations are here to stay

Last weekend’s match at Molineux which saw Leeds United storm back from 2-0 down at half-time to overcome Wolves 3-2 was one of the most entertaining games in the Premier League this season.

It had just about everything with fine goals and a controversial sending off which totally changed the game.

It also had one of the most ridiculous goal celebrations with Leeds scorer Luke Ayling trying to replicate Robbie Keane’s trademark cartwheel and forward roll display and failing in hilarious fashion. It was the icing on the cake.

Ayling admitted he got it all wrong with the celebration, saying: “I didn’t land the cartwheels which is a bit disappointing….
