Pulse Awards extend entrant deadline

Pulse Clinic and Pulse Gallery have extended the submission deadline for this year’s Pulse Awards to Dec 31.

Under the theme “Ending Aids, Erase Stigma!”, the awards will culminate in a “sexhibition”, an event dedicated to promoting sexual health awareness and combatting discrimination associated with Aids and HIV. Selected artworks will be auctioned for charity, and there will be cash prizes for winning submissions.

For over four decades, sexual health has been a critical global concern, with the emergence of the HIV epidemic in the early 1980s marking the onset of a worldwide pandemic. Despite significant progress in understanding and managing the virus, HIV and Aids remain persistent global challenges. Yet the stigma surrounding HIV remains unchanged, creating hurdles for affected individuals even with advancements in treatment and prevention measures.
