My buddy and I (25 year old Americans) are planning a 2.5 month trip through Asia leaving early October getting back late December. We both have spent a lot of time in Europe and are super excited for this next adventure. We both are big partiers but also don’t want to be drinking every single night. We are excited for nightlife but also very much looking forward to scuba trips, exploring waterfalls, motorcycling the mountains, wasting our days away at the beach.
Our plan so far is as follows:
-1/2 week(s) Japan
-1 week South Korea
-1/2 week(s) Vietnam
-3/5 weeks Thailand
– Then depending on how much time we have left thinking about bali or a quick trip to Australia (I know Australia may be doing to much is such a short time but I have friends there that I could visit so should be cool)
My other buddy is primarily in charge of planning Korea and Japan while I’m most excited for and in charge of planning Thailand. I am mainly asking for recommendations for our itineraries like how long to spend in each city/area cool activities to do and cool hostels to stay at. Ultimately looking for a adventurous trip with partying meeting people our age and looks of relaxing on the beach and water activities in between. Thank everyone in advance so much for the advice! Oh last question as well… what’s the main form of transportation among the backpacking community?
