PSA: Current location of immigration Bangkok – for those wanting to extend their “Visa Exempt” stay by 30 days.

Just fyi at present the place to get a visa exemption (in Bangkok) is here. (IT Square Laksi). On the third floor – not at the “old” immigration place.

If you arrive and, looking around, you are incredulous that this could be the right place…then you are in the right place :-) just find your way up to the third floor, then ask one of the vendors where immigration is…

It’s a “temporary” location, due to construction near the Main Immigration office.

The two locations are about 8 minutes apart, if travelling by motorbike taxi.

The absolute latest you get get a number and start waiting is 3.30pm, so arrive well in advance of that – especially as you will.lokely need time to fill out forms, photocopy your passport, get photos taken etc, before you can get a number for your place in the queue.
