Potentially helpful advice for us “Farang” when asking for help! 😅

May be simple but it blew my mind!! After 2 days of testing this, it’s been super helpful and I’ve learned a lot!!!
OK:
So, when asking for help, try adding your colloquial version of expressing something along the lines of:
“Im sorry, it works differently back where I am from, not sure how it’s done here in Thailand.”

That phrase totally gets rid of the “you’re just a stupid foreigner who knows nothing” part. Saying something like that acknowledges that you may not know how it’s done here, but that doesn’t mean you are not stupid and have no knowledge about anything… if that makes sense 😅
It’s helped me a bunch, hope it helps some of you too!

My best friend in Tokyo (who married her Thai husband) has been helping with little tidbits like that to help this sensitive Blonde Californian Woman adjust to life here, and to not take things too personally 😅

Thanks for reading, totally open to discussion. Hope y’all have a great night! 😊
