Phuket Takes In Highest Amount of Tourism Income During First 10 Months of 2022 –

Measures to stimulate tourism have resulted in Thailand becoming the destination of choice for foreign tourists. The return of revenue from tourism has allowed relevant businesses to recover and income to be dissipated nationwide. Phuket was found to have made the highest amount of income from tourism this year, taking in more than 127 billion baht in the first 10 months.

Deputy government spokesperson Tipanan Sirichana spoke of the success in achieving 10 million foreign tourist arrivals on December 10 this year. Efforts to revive tourism commenced with the Phuket Sandbox program which was then expanded to other areas of Thailand. Borders were ultimately completely reopened.
